Here I want to give a brief overview and include photos of the projects that will be in my classes this fall 2018 at IQF Houston. For each class I will have 2 choices of projects and kits available for both. I will have a limited number of kits, so if you are signed up for my class and want a specific one send me an email.
These are the samples for the 2 patterns with kits, Bulldog and Boston Terrier, I will have for my Dazzling Dogs class at IQF Houston on Nov 8 2018. The photo and description are a little misleading. For the class students will get to choose one of these two kits. I am teaching my raw edge fabric collage technique using these patterns with unrealistic colors. Its more fun that way. The second half of the class I will teach how to create your own patterns for a pet portrait quilt using a photo of your pet. I will show samples of portraits made using realistic colors. I hope this clears things up as the photo of the bassett hound is for the second half of the class.
My 6 hr class on Nov 7th is called Leaping Lizards. I will have a choice of these 2 patterns; a basilisk or the red-eyed tree frog.During class students will learn my raw edge fabric collage technique that does not use pattern pieces or fusible but is more a trace and cut technique and glue to hold the pieces together. Its a simple method with few rules. The second half of the class will be instructions on how to make your own patterns from photographs
